Lunch and The Three Falls Trail

After our fun time exploring the coast, we were ready for some lunch and so we took a short taxi ride into town to try to find a place to eat.  We saw what we thought was a steakhouse and I instantly got really excited to go there seeing as it 1) Looked to be an American restaurant, and b) had steak!  Can’t get too much better than that.
Unfortunately though, the chef/owner of the place had burned his hand badly a few weeks before and therefore was only cooking items that were very simple.  So his entire menu was mostly off limits, including the steak.  I was so bummed!  But they did have some hamburgers, and hot dogs and so we at least got a little taste of home.  But we had to laugh when our entree’s came with “fries” which basically were three slices of potato.  Three slices.  No more, no less.  Needless to say we were all a little hungry afterwards.  The kids loved their hot dogs though, but they didn’t put them in buns like in America – so the kids just dipped them in ketchup and eat them that way.  Ady on the other hand preferred dipping hers in her lemonade.  Gross!

We ended up stopping by the market next door where Adam bought an entire watermelon and we took down most of it within minutes!  Then the kids also bought some fun transformer toys with the money the kind Grandma and Grandpa’s at Seoraksan park had given them, and got some ice cream.

From there we headed across the street to another place where you could hike to 3 different waterfalls! I was so excited!  There are few things I love more than beaches and waterfalls, so this was turning out to be quite the awesome day for me!

And boy oh boy, were the waterfalls pretty! Here is the first of the three.  Can you believe that water? I think it is the most blue turquoise water I’ve ever seen.
