Once we finally were able to find our way down to the waters edge, we discovered that if you stood in certain spots that you could get completely SOAKED from the spray of the waves hitting the rocks. The boys thought this was the funnest thing in the world and loved getting wet. I on the other hand was worried a big wave would come and sweep them all away, or that they would slip and fall into the ocean, and so we set strict boundaries on how close they could get. They sure had a ball getting splashed and playing in the tide pools though.
You can’t really tell from the pictures, but the waves were actually HUGE. Some of the biggest I’ve seen for sure. Adam guessed they were about 8-10 feet tall.
The lava rocks were pretty cool too! Check out those holes!
