While visiting Adam’s mission in Korea one of the big things we wanted to do was to go and see the Seoul Korea temple. Unfortunately the day we went my camera battery died so I didn’t get any pictures, but luckily lds.org had this beautiful picture I could snag out on their website so that I can remember this remarkable and beautiful building.
Although we weren’t able to go inside (due to having the 4 kids with us) we loved just walking the grounds of the temple and feeling the spirit from the outside. Afterwards we also enjoyed visiting the nearby family history center (which at one point had been the mission home) and were able to finally talk to someone who knew the whereabouts of Adam’s mission President – President Jun. SUCH a tender Mercy!
This kind man at the family history center even went so far as to call Adam’s mission president right then and there so that Adam could talk to him and arrange a time to visit! And he even brought the kids some paper and crayons to color with and even gave them juice and snacks to eat! We truly were blessed so much by the kindness of others. How wonderful and generous the Korean people are!
After our visit to the temple and family history center it was around dinner time and so we decided to try out a restaurant that advertised an “American buffet” that we had passed on our way to the temple We had to laugh though because the Korean version of an American buffet was pretty off. Although it did have SOME American dishes, many of the dishes were things the kids or I had never seen or tried before. But we were able to find lots of things we did like too – and it was nice to have a bit of a change from the spicy Korean food. We all left with full tummies – which is what we were hoping for!
Another marvelous day in Korea!
