On our way back to the subway station Adam took us through a Korean open air market – which was really a sight to behold. If you want to get a real quick glimpse into another culture, this is the way to go! We loved seeing so many new and different things and getting to see people interacting with each other in the Korean language. Plus everything we saw was a visual feast. So beautifully displayed and organized. The people we met were also so so nice and many of them gave the kids little treats or snacks as we passed by. That is one thing about Korea – the people are so very generous – especially to little children. We really loved experiencing a bit of Korea through the open air market.
Korean house slippers
What we called wide brimmed “Grandma hats!” I ended up getting one of these for both our Mom’s more as a joke! But they are great for keeping sun off your face!
Koreans use a lot of dried seafood in their cooking.
Some of the yummy bakery items.
Lots of beautiful produce!
Lots of varieties of beans and rice!
And about a million different ways to make Kimchee.
Some Korean treats! Adam loved these things…the kids and I, not so much!
But who doesn’t love Korean dumplings!? Yum!
Traditional Korean Clothing for small children.
What a beautiful country and culture!
