Shortly after we got home from our trip to Sri Lanka and just a few weeks before we left India the kids and I went out on our balcony one day and discovered that we had a Mamma bird with two babies nesting on our porch. One of the babies had somehow gotten out of the nest though and so the Mamma wasn’t sitting on it, and so we were able to find some cardboard and move the baby back into the nest without touching it so the Mamma could continue to keep both babies warm. It was so fun to watch as the babies grew over the next few weeks. We loved having our own little pets to look after and we often would take the Mamma bird out some water and food to keep her from needing to get off the nest too often. What a fun little adventure! These pics were taken when the baby pigeons were just a few weeks old.
