Brindavan Gardens

During our time in Mysore we attempted to go and see the Brindavan Gardens.  Adam and I had come to these gardens back in February, but our driver Naveen thought it was best if we came at dusk so we could see a “light show” that they did with the water fountains.  However, that meant that we got VERY Little time seeing the gardens in the light and we felt like we had missed the main attraction.  So this time we insisted on going during the day!  But as luck would have it Adalynn threw up literally 2 minutes before arriving at the gardens and then complained about her stomach hurting her the entire time as she wimpered and moaned.  So needless to say, we didn’t stay long and it ended up being a very quick visit where we once again didn’t get a chance to see everything (or even half of everything).
The gateway to get into the gardens.  The entry into the gardens was super cheap and around 20 rupees each (.30 cents) with kids being free, but then you had to pay a hefty “camera fee” to take pictures. This really bugged me when we first came to India, but now I realize that just about every place does it.  But usually the camera fee is MUCH greater than the cost to get in.  Whod’a’thunk?

Poor little Ady was just so miserable, and it didn’t help that she had her own paparazzi of Indian families wanting to take her picture.  She was NOT having it.

An Indian Cobra!  Scary!
Despite the trip getting cut short, it was still a lot of fun to see at least a portion of the gardens in the daylight and we were glad we went, and glad we hadn’t paid very much! ha!
