Century Club with Nagendra & Raji

One of the things that India is very well known for is being a country rich in tradition, festivals, and celebrations.  And if you know anything about the Indian people you know that they are almost always celebrating something! 🙂  I love that about their culture!
This last week India had its version of “labor day” where most business or IT workers had the day off. However, Labor Day is also a HUGE selling day for shop owners, so besides the tech industry it appeared that most of the country was working!
Our good friend Nagendra and his beautiful wife Raji were kind enough to invite us out to their exclusive club for the day where apparently you have to have a family member in the club to be apart of it.  They completely spoiled us too and bought lunch for our entire family!  We were so grateful for their kindness and generosity and have quickly come to just LOVE being around their family.  What amazing and generous people!  We always have such a great time when we are with them.  Below are some pictures from the day!

Nagendra was also a life saver in the way that he was able to help Adam get set up with an Indian phone so that Adam’s not getting charged International prices every time he makes a call here.  We were so grateful for his expertise and help!

Like I mentioned above, Nagendra insisted on buying lunch for our family and really went above and beyond in ordering fun things for us to eat.  I think we ended up with 4 orders of french fries, 4 orders of cheese balls, 4 orders of chicken, 2 orders of spicy chicken, and then some Roti breads with several yummy gravy’s and rice later.  To say that we were all stuffed would be an understatement!  Thank you so much Nagendra and Raji for your kindness!  We Love you guys!  And next time dinner is on us!

The highlight of the day though for the kids was when the sprinklers at the club came on.  They had been hoping to go swimming and had all worn their swimsuits to the club, but the pool ended up being closed that day.  They didn’t seem to mind that at all though and loved running through the sprinklers.  You can just see the joy on their faces below!

Ady wasn’t exactly crazy about the sprinklers but did enjoy learning to play Cricket.  I think she may need a few more lessons, and maybe someone should inform her that you hold the bat from the other end! ha!

All of us together!  Sure love these guys!
Thank you again for a wonderful afternoon Raji and Nagendra!
We sure are grateful to have such wonderful friends as you!
