A couple weeks ago the kids had Friday off of school so we decided to go and do a fun family day at the park. So after getting our jobs done around the house and making up some egg salad sandwiches and fruit we headed over to the Salem Pond around 11. Adam was working from home, but needed to be on some calls, but when things slowed down he rode his bike over to meet up with us for his lunch break.
Right now the kids are on a big “bike riding” kick and each day have been begging us to take them on family walks or bike rides. They had even wanted to RIDE bikes over to the park but since its a little difficult to ride bikes holding picnic baskets and balls and frisbees we opted to just drive to the park but take a few bikes with us. The kids had to share – but they still had a great time!
Adalynn loved having the stroller to cruise around in. She gets giddy every time we bring it out!
The kids loved climbing on the parks new playground equipment! Perfect for rough and tumbly boys who love to get as high up as they can! Branson kept saying “I’m the king of the world!”
Adalynn preferred spending her time on the slides and swings!
Lunch consisted of Egg salad sandwiches, strawberries, apples, pears, chips, apple juice, and a brownie for dessert. Yum!
Adam didn’t end up meeting up with us until around 1:30 pm, so we were starting to wind down, but we did gt in some good frisbee games and duck feeding before we headed back out. Then Brans and Harry took turns riding the one bike we had brought home with Adam. Brans left first on the bike with Adam while I got kids in the car and packed everything up, and then by the time I drove to meet them – they were about half way so Harry switched places with Brans and got to ride the rest of the way home. It worked out really well. These kids LOVE to ride bikes! It sure was a wonderful afternoon spent with family! And great to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather!
And just for fun – here is a picture of the Payson temple I took that morning after going grocery shopping. I decided to swing by to see the progress thats been made since I last saw it a few months ago. We sure are getting excited for its completion!
