Rob’s Wedding

Back on February 13th, Adam and I were able to travel up to Logan for the wedding of our nephew Robbie.  Luckily it worked out that we could get Brans and Harry off to school and then we traveled the 2.5 hours up to Logan, dropped the kids off with friends in Smithfield (Thank you again Jake and Tiff!) and then we booked it over to the Logan Temple.  We got there a little later than expected, but that didn’t end up being a bad thing since the sealing was postponed temporarily (15 minutes or so) because Robbie’s fiance’s zipper BROKE on her dress while in the temple!  Poor thing.  That certainly didn’t start the day out on the right foot and I think made the day a little more stressful for the couple!  We were worried they wouldn’t say yes at the alter because they both looked very frustrated with the dress situation when they walked in.  The sealing was beautiful though and the weather turned from rainy to sunny for them! 🙂
They had a nice luncheon at an old mansion a few blocks from the temple afterwards for close family and friends, where they served yummy Mexican food, and had a nice program.  And then they left immediately for their honeymoon in Colorado (which I heard also came with its fair share of challenges when their flight got delayed 3 hours and then they hit icy road conditions making it so they didn’t get to their hotel until 3 am! Yikes!)  But we are so happy for Robbie and Alex and wish them all the best with their marriage and lives together!  So exciting! 🙂  Below are some pictures from the day.
The Egbert family.  6 boys and 1 girl.  Love everyones faces!

Alex the beautiful bride!

The old mansion where the luncheon was held (they decided against having a reception) for close family and friends.

I loved the decorations and colors they used!  So cute!

Congratulations Rob and Alex!  We love you guys!
