This year funny enough both the Harrison Christmas party and the Egbert party were scheduled for AFTER Christmas instead of before. It just worked out that thats what worked best for everyones schedules. So on Friday, December 27th we met up at my Mom and Dad’s house for the big celebration. We were once again SO bummed though when my sister was too sick to attend, but we did the next best thing and were able to skype with her over the computer instead. It made her feel at least a little bit closer. đ
As is tradition we started out our big day by feasting on lots of yummy foods! But unlike tradition we actually did some new foods this year. Normally we do ham and cheesy potatoes with all the fixins, but because most of us had been eating ham and cheesy potatoes all week and were burned out of them anyway we switched things up a bit and also included Kentucky Fried Chicken on the menu, Stacey’s yummy fruit salad, and I made a yummy raspberry spinach salad. It was great to break from the norm and nobody seemed to mind or go hungry that is for sure! đ
My brother Jake, sister in law Stacey and cute little Chase.
Dad had come down with a bad cold that he worried might turn into pneumonia so he made sure he stayed away from people and wore a mask.
Amber brought her boyfriend Jackson for us all to meet. They had fun playing games and such on her new Ipad touch.
Ady liked riding the couch like a horse!
My doo doo head brother and beautiful Mom!

After dinner and vegging around for a bit we got started on our traditional gift exchanges. We first had the kids open their gifts (Brans got a glow in the dark light thing that twirls around, Harry got a light Saber, Dawson got Jake and the Neverland Pirates, and Adalynn got finger puppets). And then we started in on the adult white elephant gift exchange. Usually what we do here is we each bring two $5 gifts and then two random white elephant gifts and we go around the circle and can open, exchange, or steal gifts from each other, but this year Mom tried out something new by buying the white elephant GAME which had some fun twists in it, trivia questions, and opportunities for people to make fools of themselves! It was really quite fun! And the highlights were seeing Stacey sing Sleighbells ring to the satisfaction of her audience and Luke sing Jingle Bells while wearing jingle bear underwear! đ
Dad sat up on the stairs and watched from above again not wanting so spread germs.
A blackmail picture of Luke singing and dancing to Jingle Bells in his Jingle Bells underwear! đ
Sure was a wonderful night spent with family! We love this group so much and the fun times we always have when we are together. Its always a blast hanging with the Harrisons! đ
