Family Night Pumpkin Carving

For family night this last week, we decided it was high time to get to our annual tradition of carving pumpkins.  This year was especially awesome though because ALL of our pumpkins came from our very own garden!  We’ve tried to grow pumpkins for years without success, so you can imagine how happy it made us not only to have a pumpkin plant survive, but to have it give us such an abundance of pumpkins as well.  I think we got about 9-10 this year which was amazing!  Pumpkins make us happy. Below are some pictures form our fun family night together.

This little girl is OBSESSED with playing games on the tablet.  Oh boy!  Good thing she is so stinkin cute!  Even with her crazy bed head hair!

Each of the kids were in charge of getting their own guts out!  Some were more happy about this part than others. 🙂

They all came up with their own faces too.  Then I would carve them out for them.  Adam was my hero and helped get out the “guts” and then he picked out and cleaned seeds to use to plant next year, and then baked us up some pumpkin seeds to eat as well.  Yum!

Adalynn’s pumpkin is on the left, Dawson’s is the throwing up pumpkin (he liked mine from last year) Branson’s is the vampire pumpkin, and Harry’s is the scary looking big toothed pumpkin.

Like I said, each child came up with his own pumpkin face and drew it on their own pumpkin.  I thought they each did an awesome job!  So cool.

Branson drew fun scary Halloween guys on his as well.

Oh how this little girl melts my heart!  She is so crazy and fun and we just all adore her!  Love that hair!

What a blessing it is to be a mother.  I sure love these sweet kids of mine!
