Aunt Mary Ann’s Funeral

The Monday after we got home from the Wedge, Adam was supposed to fly out with Rajesh and Gaurav to Detroit for an onsite with a client for work, but on Sunday night we received the news that Adam’s aunt Mary Ann had passed away.  So Adam ended up canceling his business trip so that he could attend the viewing and funeral that week.  He ended up going up to SLC Monday with his Mom and Dad for the viewing and then we took the younger two kids with us to the funeral Tuesday afternoon.  It was a beautiful service where precious memories and thoughts were shared about Mary Ann, and really was more of a happy time for the family than a sad one.  Mary Ann had been in a lot of pain at the end of her life and was missing her deceased husband Archie, and so everyone was happy for her that she was able to be reunited with her sweetheart and to escape from the pain she was in.  It really just makes me very grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and to know that someday I will get to see my loved ones who have passed on as well.  It makes death so much easier when you know it is not the end.  I just feel so grateful for that knowledge.  Below are just a few pictures I remembered to take while we were at the graveside dedicating the grave.
