Sunday School Field Trip

Right now my calling in my ward/church is to be a Sunday School teacher for the youth between the ages of 15-17.  One of our goals as a class has been to reach out to those who don’t come and extend a hand of friendship and love to them.  So for one of my lessons one Sunday I decided that instead of just talking about how we can show love that we WOULD go out and spread some love and cheer to those in our class.  Two of the girls in my class volunteered to make and bring cookies to share with our classmates, and then we also made homemade cards for each one as well.  Then I also called a few of the mothers to see if we could stop by to visit and get to know their kids.  It was really a wonderful way to bond as a class, have a fun “offsite” real life lesson on missionary work and caring for others, and to brighten the lives of kids in our class.  Below are a few pictures from our little Sunday School Field Trip (FYI: there was also a 2nd car full of the rest of the class consisting of Briant Oblad, Darren Draper, Frank Phillips, Milani Lau, and Briana Burgess).

What a great group of kids I have!  They truly are wonderful examples of Christlike love for others.  I’m so blessed to be able to learn from them each week in class.
