Wind Rivers – Harry’s First Fish

When we go camping each year in the Wind Rivers there are two places that we almost always hike up to.  1) Lake Gadsby – which is clear up on top of a big mountain and absolutely beautiful, and then 2) Lost Lake – which is a fisherman’s DREAM where every cast ends with a fish.  Both hikes take all day and are 10-12 miles round trip, but they are the Egbert boys favorite places in the world to go to and they fill their buckets in ways other things can’t.
This year was Harry’s first time getting to go to Lost Lake and Gadsby (after Adam tried taking a short cut and getting lost last year) but unfortunately no pictures were taken since Adam’s didn’t have a camera on him.  Luckily though, my wonderful brother-in-law Parris took a few pictures, and was able to capture Harry with his first fish!  Priceless!  Thank you Parris for sharing these great photos with us.
Adam, Brans, and Harry on their way up to Gadsby.  They still have a little ways to go, but are getting close! Check out that view! 🙂

Is there anything better than homemade blue coo-laid snow cones in the mountains with favorite Egbert cousins?  I think not. 🙂  Love those blue tongues!

Harry catches his first fish at Gadsby!  Branson helps him learn how to unhook the fish.

That is one happy little boy with his first fish!  He ended up catching around 8 the first day if I remember, and he bragged that he caught more than all the other kids and Dads!  Way to go Harry, but it sounds like a fish story to me! ha!  Adam said he’d never seen Harry so happy!  Later they fried up some up their fish for lunch and Harry called them “fish-kabobs!” Cute!

Wind River Sand Angels!
Branson with a massive smore made with chocolate chip cookies and marshmallows!  Yum!
Thanks again Parris for these precious photos of the boys!  I sure appreciate you sending them to me!
