On August 3rd – a very special thing happened over here in the Egbert family – our sweet little boy Branson chose to follow Christ by being baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. What a wonderful and special day it was where we all felt a really sweet spirit and where hugs, love, and lots of friends and family abounded.
Branson has been preparing and looking forward to this event for over a year now and so we wanted to make it very special for him – including his own little photo shoot to remember his special day with Mom. Brans and I had fun coming up with cool location ideas and props and going from one place to the next hoping to catch the perfect picture. I think we got some good ones. Below are a few of our favorites.
Branson showing off his new set of scriptures with his name engraved that he received from Adam and I. Adam and I both wrote our testimonies on the covers and included our favorite marked scriptures.
“The field is white already to harvest”
I unfortunately couldn’t find a single blue Book of Mormon in English – but as we were searching around we were able to find a book of Mormon in Slovene from my mission and one in Korean from Adams mission. Branson loved representing both of our missions and taking pictures with some very precious and special books to Adam and I.
For Branson’s baptism he also received his first real journal where we encouraged him to write about his baptism day and other memorable events in his life over the next few years.
This kid absolutely LOVES his new set of scriptures!

Sure do love this boy of mine and am so pleased with his decision to be baptized. Brans is such a wonderful part of our family and example to his little brothers and sister. We are so blessed to have him in our lives. Sure love you buddy!
