On Friday afternoon while we were up at the cabin our wonderful friends Layne and Bekah Smith came up to join us for an evening. Layne was actually the one who introduced Adam and I and so we kind of owe him big time! Plus it had been FAR too long since we’d last seen their family! And we so do love any chance we get to spend time with the Smiths.
On Saturday (which was Harry’s REAL birthday) we started the day out right with waffles with ice cream, berries and syrup on top and then we all loaded into the cars for a fun hike around Tony Grove – which just so happens to be one of my very favorite hikes in the entire world. I just love it. Mom and Dad had also come up to spend time with us at the cabin the night before- but unfortunately weren’t able to join us for the hike on Saturday. We sure missed them.
It ended up being a kind of cold drizzly day when we first started out the hike – but that didn’t stop us – and it even made it sort of a fun adventure. Later the weather got a little more intense though and we all took cover under some big pine trees – but after 15 minutes of it not letting up we decided to make a run for it! Sure was a fun end to our breathtakingly beautiful hike!
The kids are the Kings of the world!
Daddy’s Girls!
Sure love my Bekah!
Sure was a fun day spent with great friends! We love the Smith Family!
