Salem Pond Picnic with Grandma and Grandpa

One day last week my wonderful Mother and Father-in-law surprised us by coming to our house and inviting us to go on a picnic with them and my niece Callie and nephew Court (whom they were watching for the day).  We of course were thrilled to have an excuse to get out of the house so we quickly loaded up into the car and headed over to the Salem pond for a picnic lunch.  Unfortunately Mum and Smurf couldn’t stay long (and I didn’t think to get pictures while they were still with us), but the kids and I stayed a bit longer and had fun feeding ducks, walking around the pond, and taking pictures.

This little fella was a little cranky about getting his picture taken. ha!

Harry’s kung fu pose.

As we were walking around the pond we came across these two darling black boys who had JUST caught a ginormous carp.  The boys were enthralled with it so we sat and watched them lure it in and catch it.

Adalynn and I waited patiently on the side lines.

The boys instantly had a crowd gather to come and pet and see their ginormous fish!

Then after it was released it was back to feeding the ducks…

We always love trips to the Salem Pond and getting to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa!  Thanks again for inviting us.  We sure love you guys!
