One of the goals Adam and I set at the beginning of this year was to try to go to the temple once a month for the entire year. Most years we fail miserably at this goal, but this year we changed our temple date around to be the first Tuesday of every month. If that doesn’t work out. We go the second Tuesday. If that doesn’t work, we go the third and so forth. June was one of those crazy months where the cosmo’s just didn’t align and so we didn’t make it to the temple (or on a date for that matter) until June 25th. But even though it was late in the month, we did make it, and we love how much better we feel once we go. The peace and direction and perspective that we get at the temple is always such a blessing to us in our lives.
This last months trip to the temple was especially cool too because we got to seal some of the families that Adam and I have found recently together for time and all eternity. Parents to each other and children to the parents. It was really an awesome experience and brought us so much joy being able to do that work for them.
Before going to the temple we went out to eat at our local Japanese restaurant the Fuji place where we each got a terriyaki chicken bowl with tempura veggies. Holy YUM!
While at the temple I also had an interesting experience where I was hit on not once, but TWICE while waiting for Adam to join me to do sealings. Two different singles wards were also waiting to do sealings and because of that I think I was identically mistaken to be single – so the guys saw fresh meat and went for it. It was really funny and both Adam and I got a big kick out of it. I just liked the fact that I got mistaken for a 20 something year old even though I’m an old 35 year old married lady with 4 kids. It totally was a self-esteem boost! đ ha. I guess you really are only as old as you feel!
Sure was a fun night spent with my forever lover boy!
