Our darling Smurf (Adam’s Dad and my wonderful Father-in-law) turned 77 while we were up at the Logan cabin so we made a special trip on our way home from the cabin to go up and wish him a Happy Birthday. While there we learned that Smurf hadn’t gotten his traditional chocolate cake with peanut butter icing on his birthday and so what could we do but remedy that? We ended up making him an Oreo peanut butter pie and taking it up to him another day so he could celebrate longer. We sure are grateful for Smurf in our lives and the wonderful legacy of faith, kindness, and love he has left for us all. What a blessing he is in our lives!
