Our first few days at the cabin Adam needed to work so he would take our Honda Pilot into town each day while the kids and I hung out at the cabin. We ended up playing pretty much every board game we could find, watching every kids movie known to man, and taking lots of nature hikes outside to keep ourselves entertained all day. By day two though we’d learned that it worked a lot better to TAKE Daddy to Logan to work so that we could get OUT of the cabin and go on some adventures. Below are some pictures of our few days spent hanging around the cabin and exploring the area around us on our hikes.
Guess Who, and Pirates of the Caribbean Life game
I don’t know why but I’m sort of in love with these next two pictures…there is just something adorable about boys climbing trees.
I love this one too showing how all THREE of the boys are climbing on something. I think its in their genetic makeup to want to climb. đ
This little girl also seemed to be in outdoor heaven. She can throw rocks, find swords (sticks), and play in the dirt with the best of em’. And we love that about her!
She too wanted to get in on the tree climbing action!
The kids can’t help themselves. If there is anything that can be climbed…they climb it! Even Adalynn found a little stump to climb up on. đ
Finding the perfect walking/fishing sticks
I thought this mossy hill was so pretty!
They started off throwing sticks in the river and ended up throwing rocks. The game was to see who could throw a rock across the river the most amount of times. There was an obvious winner but I won’t name names. đ
Not sure why the frowny face but he’s still cute!
The sticks were a huge hit!
Bransons favorite stick was this one shaped like a volosoraptor foot!
We sure do love spending time in the mountains and loved getting to explore nature!
