Christmas day was really magical and wonderful. The kids had so much fun coming down the stairs and seeing their gifts and they couldn’t believe that Santa brought them exactly what they asked for. PLUS some extra items because they’d been Soooo good. Because things are so crazy Christmas morning though Adam and I snapped a new pictures of what Santa had brought the kids before we headed to bed the night before. Below are some of the pictures.
Santa brought Branson some Pokemon figures and cards, K’nex set, and a Pokemon costume! Yay!
Dawson received a remote control car, and a batman and angry birds costume!
Harry got a remote control helicopter, pokemon costume, and Mario lunch box!
Adalynn received the Disney Bell Princess Toddler Doll, and a Jasmine Disney princess barbie.
Santa even wrote a note back to the kids after he eat his cookies and milk. đ
The biggest surprise though was this cruise ship that was hanging on the Christmas Tree. It was from Adam and I and told the kids that we were taking them on a Mexican Riviera cruise in June!
This is what the room looked like after Santa came!
In the morning the kids all slept in until just before 8:00 (which they have done EVERY year to date so far). Adam and I are usually up WAY before the kids Christmas morning but it gives us a chance to get the cameras all ready, go to the bathroom, and get everything situated.
We put up the baby gate at the top of the stairs every year so that the kids don’t come down without us knowing. They have to wait up there for us so that we can record their first reactions to seeing their presents. Unfortunately this year though Mommy didn’t download her OLD pictures and ran out of room within minutes and had to run and download them in order to capture the rest of Christmas. So she missed some of the fun. Live and learn. Live and learn. đ
I love these series of pictures because at first Adalynn was happy. But then as you can see later, she got upset because Dad kept making her sit for pictures. She just wanted to get up and walk around!
Here are all the kids in front of their Santa loot!
After opening Santa presents and stockings we took a break and went to eat some breakfast. I was planning to make something nice but the kids opted to do a “quick” breakfast of cereal so that we could get back to opening presents under the tree sooner. đ I think we should make that a tradition! I ended up not having to cook the entire day for similar reasons! đ
Adam got a angry birds pig mask from Mommy in his stocking and had fun snorting at the kids in it!
After breakfast we took turns opening up presents from Mom and Dad under the tree with the youngest going first. Here Adalynn is opening up the present she got from Harry.
She loved the monkey and book he gave her!
Later after we were all finished opening presents I made everyone put their loot all together to snag a pictures. Below is what Adam got from me in his stocking and under the tree. He made out receiving a nerf gun, quessadilla maker, calender of our family, just dance wii game, earth wind and fire CD, tubes for his road bike, mad gab game, new digital alarm clock that lights up on the ceiling, new church socks, a room heater, rootbeer, shoulder rest for his violin, and some pens and markers for his office.

Adam also spoiled me with a whole bunch of new picture frames, new black dress pants, some downeast shirts, goats milk, candy, guitar hero game, oil thing, and cough drops. It is always fun to see what Adam comes up with for my stocking each year. He is such a crack up!
Adalynn got some new shoes, dolls, craft supplies, bath drums, glow sticks, a movie, monkey, new brush and a new camelback pak for hiking.
Branson looks like he got a ton more stuff than everyone else but that is because his stuff wasn’t spread out all over the house like the other kids! But he got a new drawing projector doodler pad, camelback pak, headlamp, gloves, knex, alarm radio (for the boys to share), magic box, bubbles, shoes, pokemon stuff, and craft supplies. He also got a new snap circuits game to help him learn about electricity.
Harry got a whole bunch of wii and xbox games (not seen) along with a craft supply box (not seen) and a whole stocking full of goodies (not seen). That is in addition to what you can see behind him.
Dawson got some movies and xbox games as well and the entire Magic School bus DVD collection. He also got a new preschool learning kit and a camelback pak and headlamp.
Playing Knex with Dad!
One of Dawsons favorite toys was this Christmas village puzzle. He LOVES putting them together!
Some of the aftermath of Christmas (this is after cleaning up several times and taking loads out to the garbage).
One of the bigger presents Adam and I got for the kids were these camelbak paks that they can all take on hikes. I will wear Adalynns for her until she gets bigger but she got one too. The boys all got head lamps in addition to that. We are excited to try these out this next year on some of our camping trips!
Between Adam hitting up a pawn shop and me getting movies on Amazon for $2-$3 dollars the kids scored in the xbox, wii games, and movie department! Here are just SOME of the new things they got.
Below is a picture of the Christmas puzzle Adam and I put together on Christmas Eve. My brother Luke won this in the white elephant gift exchange and promptly gave it to us to do since he’s not a puzzler. It was actually more difficult than we thought it was going to be because it had two of almost every flower you see.
And we were super pleased to wake up to a winter wonderland Christmas morning. It was snowing when we all woke up but then later turned into this perfect sunshiny day!
The rest of the day we spent just playing with all of the toys the kids got, putting together puzzles, taking long naps, eating lots of leftovers, watching the kids play xbox, and watching Christmas movies. It was sure a wonderful day spent together! We hope you had a very Merry Christmas too!
