Adobe Work Party

This last weekend Adam and I were able to attend the annual Adobe Christmas party which is always so fun.  This year their theme was “Futuristic” and “Aliens” which made for some great costumes.  As usual we dressed up for the event – but this year we just decided to go with EASY PEASY where we resurrected our old Neo and Trinity costumes (from the Matrix movie).
The party itself was really awesome and they had a bazillion activities to do from a picture booth, to fortune telling, to virtual roller coasters, to darts, to golf, to bungee jumping on a trampoline, to riding around Segways, to Rock climbing, to getting a massage, to breathing in flavored air and even Lazer Tag.  It was really crazy!  And oh so fun!  We were able to do almost everything!
They also had little booths for food all over that you could snack on if you got hungry.  And later they had a big costume contest with prizes and then had some of the dancers from SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE (at least I think thats where they said they were from) come and perform.  I was in HEAVEN on that one and they were AMAZING!!!
Funny story about that though.  So as we were walking around a lady approached us and asked if Adam had his Adobe badge on him.  When he said yes, she asked if he could please use it to get the elevator working as she had some “special guests” she needed to take downstairs.  So we went over to the elevator with her where a bunch of people were waiting to go down.  One of them – a black man with things in his ears to stretch out his ear lobes – looked REALLY familiar to me.  But I couldn’t figure out from where and figured I had just met him last year at the Adobe party.  He looked right at me though, and gave me a big smile and thumbs up and said, “Wow I really love your Trinity costume!  You look great!”  I responded by telling him how great his costumer was as well and then Ad motioned for me to come back out with him.
Well it ends up that the he was one of the dancers that were performing that night.  So I guess I had my first celebrity run in! 🙂  Anyway, it was very cool.  Below are some pictures from the evening.
The award winning “Alien” costume that night.  I love the lights on his cheeks, wrists, and knees!

Our Matrix costumes.  Bad to the bone!

You know dats right! 🙂

Our lazer tag team!

The awesome dance entertainment for the night.
A close look.  Does anyone remember their names?

This booth was one of Adam’s favorites!  You put these things up your nose and then connected with these glass science looking jars for different smelling/flavored air.  Very futuristic indeed.

We also took advantage of the free massages.  Adam even scored TWO that night.  And we got our fortune told as well – which was extremely INACCURATE!  ha!
We both took turns doing a little rock climbing on the wall.
Harder than you think without climbing shoes!  Ouch!
After the party was mostly over (and we’d had our fill of dessert) Adam took me for a tour of the new Adobe building and showed me his office and some of the cool features.  My favorite was this big huge 4-5 story sculpture looking thing where you could drop balls from the very top and they would go through the big sculpture all the way down to the bottom of the building.  Pretty neat!  Sure was a great date night out with my sweetie pie and fun to meet and get to now those Ad works with.  Thanks Ad for taking me, and thanks Adobe for putting together such an awesome party!
