Adam’s Nose Job

The Monday after Thanksgiving Adam went in for surgery to have a collapsed nasal cavity fixed or what we lovingly like to call his “nose job.” 🙂  Mum and Smurf were kind enough to come down and watch the kids for us so that I could be with Adam at the hospital (Thanks again guys!)  Everything went well though – although the doctor said it was a lot worse than he thought once he went in – but he was basically able to rebuild one of Adam’s nostrils with some cartilage from other parts of his nose and he inserted several stints in there as well.  Its really made a world of difference and Adam finally feels like he can BREATH again.  His snoring is almost completely gone now too which has been SO wonderful!  One of the side effects though according to Adam is that now, “The air in his nose gets cold!”  He says its the strangest feeling.  ha ha.  Below are some before and during shots of Ad’s nose.  If I remember I will try to take some afters as well or just look at later blog posts to compare! 🙂

Before
Just out of surgery at the hospital.  He was one sore guy.

A few days after surgery.  Swelling is still pretty severe.

What a wonderful thing it is to breath! 🙂
