The other night Adam left me a note on the kitchen counter asking me on a date – AT HOME. Unfortunately we are REALLY bad at finding babysitters and getting out just the two of us – but we do try on occasion to do something fun on occasion after putting the kids to bed.
So that night after teeth were brushed, scriptures read, hugs were given and prayers said – Adam told me what he had planned for us to do on our date.
First on the agenda was “Couch Time” where he allowed me to talk about whatever I wanted to. I chose to talk about each of the kids and do a five facet review on them where we talk about how each of the kids are doing 1) Spiritually, 2) Physically, 3) Socially, 4) Mentally, and 5) Emotionally. It was really good and great to get on the same page where our kids are concerned and discuss any improvements we need to make or worries we have.
Next, Adam took my hand and led me up to our “dress up closet” where I was instructed that I could pick out some costumes for Adam and he would pick out some for me. Later we took pictures of each other, made fools of ourselves, and laughed A LOT. It seriously was so much fun and I was impressed with Adam’s creativity that night. We had a blast! Below are some of our crazy pictures from our photo shoot.
Adam as an Avatar. He looks more like a monster if you ask me! So funny though.
Adam made me into a blue witch – minus the hat.
This costume was a hit though! Adam loved showing off his ripped abs!
I got to be a cowgirl in pigtails. Pretty fun!
Thanks for a creative and fun date night Ad. You so totally rock!
