Shirley’s Pond

While visiting with Sister Wilding the kids and I were able to help with some projects that needed doing around the farm.  So during the mornings and early afternoons we would work and then later in the afternoons we would go play!  It was so fun to be able to work along side Sister Wilding and learn from her and to see what it really takes to run a farm.  And the kids LOVED getting to do jobs like feed the chickens, gather eggs, and work the wheel barrow.  Branson even got to feed the chickens some grubs from the garden!  Man are those things ugly.  In addition to those jobs we also helped clean out the potato pit, mowed the lawn, Adam fixed the TV, we worked in the garden, weeded, and then helped with anything Sister Wilding needed doing on the farm.  I have always wanted to see Sister Wilding in her element and it was neat to get to be apart of her world for a short little while.  Wow, Wow, Wow is she AMAZING!
For our fun activity one day she suggested she go out to her oldest daughter Shirley’s pond.  Shirley and her husband built this pond in their backyard and boy is if beautiful and FUN.  The kids loved it and were able to go on their first canoe ride with Sister Wilding.  Then later Sister Wilding brought out some homemade bubble blowers she had put together for the boys that they had used at their reunion.  Boy were those a HIT!  The kids absolutely loved them!  Below are some pics. from our day at the pond.
Ah, I am so in love with this little girl!
