Ketchikan, Alaska

We all had to laugh because Ketchikan Alaska is known for one thing…having the MOST rainfall in the world.  However, on the day we arrived.  It was a perfect SUNSHINY day.  The first yet of our cruise.  In fact there wasn’t even a cloud in the sky.  We were glad about this though as it was here that we had booked our most exciting (and expensive) excursion yet.  That of going in a FLOAT PLANE!!!!

Be prepared for a plethora of pictures because man alive were we all camera happy.  You can hardly blame us though looking at all the pictures below.  And mind you these were taken out of a fuzzy plane window!  It just really was that pretty!  And the pictures don’t do it justice.  We were all in HEAVEN.

Check out that water!  Such a gorgeous blue/green!

 We saw waterfalls all over!

This was our awesome Pilot. She did a great job!

Afterwards Adam and I decided to go and visit downtown Ketchikan and check out the shops.  It was a beautiful little place and we enjoyed reading some of the history behind it.

We had to take this picture as Adam’s brother Parris always tells the tale of Sam McGee every time we have a reunion or are up at the Wind Rivers.  Its a tradition! 🙂

That evening after returning back to the ship we took some naps, went out to dinner, caught a show and then found these awesome space chairs.

We all agreed that this was our best day yet!  Wait didn’t I say that before? 🙂
