Spanish Fork Reservoir

This last week the kids and I were able to head out to a reservoir that we heard about recently from several of our ward friends.  We’ve lived in Payson now for about 3.5 years and couldn’t BELIEVE it took us this long to find out about this place!  We loved it!  It was perfect for a quick little get-away with the kids to get our feet wet and play in the sand.
We took a picnic lunch and some of our blow up toys and had fun wading in the shallow water.  That is until Dawson decided to throw a full on tantrum when he DIDN’T want to float with Mommy and Sissy in the water but also DIDN’T want to play in the sand while Mommy floated.
Needless to say we had the entire beach staring at us while Dawson screamed and refused to calm down and go into a time out on the picnic blanket.  I ended up having to get out of the water (which I’d only been in less than 2 minutes), pick Dawson up, and take him down to the car to strap him into his car seat for his time out.  Then I quickly headed back to our picnic spot, packed up all our stuff, put sissy in the stroller and headed back to the car where all the beach all gave a big sigh of relief that the family with the screaming child was leaving.  (Not really but it felt that way).
One lady was so nice though and as I was pushing Sissy in our stroller holding our picnic basket, bag of towels, my purse, blanket, and 3 floaty thingy’s she said, “we really don’t mind hearing your little boy scream!”  ha ha.  Thanks…but I’m pretty sure the rest of the tiny little beach did.  đŸ™‚  Below are some pics from the day.
