Visiting Papa and Brick Oven

This last week while Adam was gone the kids and I decided to take a trip into Provo to visit my Papa and use up a free kids meal to the Brick Oven that Branson had received from his teacher Mr. White.
Papa was in really good spirits when we arrived and we ended up going on a walk around his home at Trinity Mission and then took another walk to the cafeteria to see when they would be having dinner.  He was really talkative and funny and just kept commenting on what beautiful children Adam and I have.  When the nurses/hr ladies commented on how cute our kids were – my Papa would just tell them, “look at who their grandfather is!”  ha ha.
Later as we were visiting in Papa’s room Adalynn grabbed my Papa’s hat off his walker and of course it went straight to her mouth.  I quickly tried to take it away from her so as to not get slobber all over my Papa’s hat – but instead Papa just grabbed another one of his hats nearby and started eating it himself and told Adalynn that he didn’t see what she saw in nibbling on hats – they sure don’t taste very good!  He is always so goofy and good for a laugh.  I love that about him!  The kids and I left our most recent family picture with him so that he could put it on his bulletin board and then headed out for dinner.

The kids loved playing with this old Juke Box at the Brick Oven.  Unfortunately it didn’t work – but they loved hearing about HOW they worked and how they were popular in Grandma and Grandpa’s days.

Sure was fun little night out!
