The Friday before Memorial Day our neighborhood threw a going away/out of school party for some of our German neighbors who have been living in the United States for the past few years and are now returning home. They had bratwurst and sauerkraut for the adults, hot dogs for the kids, and then everyone brought a side, salad, or dessert to share! So many from our ward/neighborhood came out to say goodbye and it was a great way to start the summer out with a bang! Thank you Thaynes and Hullingers for putting together such a wonderful party! We will miss you Grubers!

And this is what the kids did while the adults talked. They shot off bottle rockets, rode bikes, played tag, and chased each other around!
Afterwards Lori Muir and I convinced our husbands to take the kids for the night while we snuck away to see the Avengers! Both Adam and Lori’s husband Jeff had already seen the movie so they kindly agreed to let us go. Sure was a great way to start the summer!
