The ball itself was really fun. We immediately got pictures when we first arrived which ended up being a great decision because within about 30 seconds of standing in line – the line tripled in size and was clear down the hall. Then we grabbed some yummy appetizers of turkey wraps, BYU mint brownies, lemon squares, magic cookie bars, fruit and veggies, and a host of other tasty treats. YUM! We eat outside by the gazebo where Adam swept me off my feet when a Harry Conick Jr. song came on.
From there we headed to the ballroom where some old BYU students on the Ballroom team were putting on a performance. Our friend and neighbor Jeremy Wengreen was in the dance number and it was fun catching up with him. Then we took a tour of the building, got some rootbeer floats upstairs, saw a comedy show, and then headed back downstairs to enjoy the rest of night dancing.
Adam as usual was a total SUPER HERO to me all night and went as crazy as I wanted him to out on the dance floor. He always has me in a fit of giggles with his amazing dance moves that he makes up on the fly. My cheeks usually hurt by the end of the night with all the smiling I do! I never feel more loved then when I’m able to cuddle up to my sweetheart on the dance floor and see him let his hair down and dance his heart out. I’m so blessed to have my Adam!
My only complaint of the night was the fact that there wasn’t much of a variety of music. As much as I love live bands – I really was craving some hip hop songs that we could really get our grove on for. Oh well. Guess we will just have to go dancing TWICE this year instead of our normal one time! đ Our 10 year anniversary is coming up soon so I think I may be able to sneak in another night out on the dance floor.
All in all though it was just a magical and wonderful night for me. I loved having my Mom and Dad with us and loved just getting to spend a romantic night out with my sweetie! Can’t wait to go again next year!
