Halloween: Adobe Style!

One of the things the kids and I look forward to the most every year is Halloween at Adobe. Actually its more like Halloween at Omniture since the tradition started with them – but since Adobe took them over – well you get the idea. As usual Adobe did a FANTASTIC job with their big party and as expected the kids and I were completely impressed.
We got to Adobe right around 2:00 or so just as they were supposed to be starting and already the line was HUGE. But Adobe always does a great job of entertaining people while in line and this year they had a live band, several HUGE snakes, a Tarantula, a Yo Yo’er, balloon person, and lots of yummy free food like popcorn, ice cream cones, and cotton candy. The boys were in HEAVEN!
Dawson showing off his “Spider” costume. He did NOT want to wear a costume at all so this was the best we got! 🙂

Branson went as the “Thing” from the Fantastic 4 and Harrison went as Spiderman.

Love my little posers!

As for me, I dressed up as a flapper – a costume I scored last year at Wal-marts 90% off sale. Saweet!

One of the big snakes they had that people could touch or take pictures with.

Adam also decided to go as a superhero and was one HOT Batman!

Even Harry was brave enough to hold it!

When you start going through the Omniture/Adobe buildings each department has a THEME that they stick to – and this theme and how well they pull it off determines if they win the big competition (which I think is usually a cash prize of around $10,000 to be split between each person or to buy something fun for the department like a big screen TV in the breakroom etc.) So these competitions get out of control sometimes with awesomeness and its really fun to see what people come up with each year. This particular department did the theme of Men in Black

Another theme was “Revenge of the Pumpkins” and the department had pumpkins smashed all over which was pretty funny.

I particularly liked the Bad guys theme!

Several departments did REAL Haunted House type Spook Alley’s which they recommended NOT taking kids into – so they had a “Spooky” way and a “Less Spooky” way that you could take the wee ones. It was pretty crazy to see how many parents took their kids to the spooky one and how many kids ended up screaming and crying their heads off at the end!

One of my favorite themes was “Toy Story.” Here we are with Ken and Barbie.

They had this HUGE chair as well that the kids could sit in

Meeting Buzz Lightyear

“We are eternally grateful. You saved our lives!”

My very favorite theme though was the Alice in Wonderland one. They did it outside and not only was it BEAUTIFUL but very well done. I loved all the greenery and cut outs. They did a great job with it. Below: The boys getting candy from the Mad Hatter.

I loved all the cards and the red roses in the bushes.

Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum

A very Happy Unbrithday to YOU!

The kids favorite part was the Bounce House!

Another theme that was fun was the Harry Potter theme. Here the kids are sitting at Hogsmead ordering some butterbeer.

Unfortunately my camera battery DIED right after Harry Potter and before we actually got to Adam’s department which was themed Childrens Stories. They had the “Cat in the Hat,” “Where the Wild Things are” and “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.”
All in all, it was again very well done and we had an awesome time going to it! Thanks Adobe for pulling off another totally awesome party!
