While the kids were on fall break Adam decided to take a day off so that we could go and do something fun as a family. Adam had a gift certificate for breakfast at the Provo Bistro so we decided to try that out. We had to laugh though as the place is pretty FANCY and totally more on the gourmet side with things on the menu like venison stew for BREAKFAST. Yeah, not so much my thing. I was able to interpret one of the menu items though and ordered some fancy french toast with baked apples which was pretty good.
The kids were less than GOOD at the restaurant and even after lots of bribery of some snickers I had in my purse, we still had a hard time keeping them quiet and in their chairs. Usually they are pretty good at restaurants but they must have known it was a fancier one and were overly excited…er somethin along those lines I really couldn’t tell you. But man was it difficult to keep those little niblets under control. Adam and I were very relieved when it was finally time to get the check!
REAL hot Cocoa with Dark Chocolate (probably my least favorite hot chocolate I’ve ever had though – very bitter!)
See what I mean? One is making faces and the other jumping from chair to chair! Whose kids are these anyway? đ
Afterwards we hit up Trafalga so that the kids would have a place to release some energy. We ended up mini golfing (for a whole 20 minutes since the kids didn’t really get it yet) and then went and did the race cars – which was a hit.
It was a great day spending time with family!
