Logan Cabin

When Adalynn was born Adam was given two weeks of paternity leave from Adobe to spend with his new little girl. However, because he has been so busy at work he ended up trying to work half days – which most of the time turned into full days. So in an effort to truly “get-away” we decided it would be fun to head up to our Logan cabin for an extended weekend.
We left on Thursday afternoon and met up with Mum and Smurf in Logan to have an early dinner at the Texas Roadhouse (our favorite!)

Then that night we pretty much just hung out relaxing and watching movies until bedtime. On Friday morning though Adam broke out the tree swing – which is usually the highlight for the kids. They LOVE to swing on it, especially with Daddy. Unfortunately Mommy always gets motion sick and ends up nauseous every time I attempt even a small ride – so I steered clear and designated myself the pusher and picture taker.

Then later that afternoon we decided to pack a picnic lunch and do some exploring in the Logan canyon. Branson got carsick and ended up throwing up about 20 minutes into our adventure so we pulled over to clean him up, get him some fresh air, take some potty breaks, and air out the car a little.

While driving back we happened to come across a beaver dam so decided to stop again to check it out.

And because we have BOYS – anytime there is water – there is of course some rock throwing going on. 🙂

Later back at the cabin Adam found a little garden snake so the boys each took turns playing with that for awhile.

We also went to check out the nature center museum but unfortunately it was CLOSED the day we went. Bummer. Maybe next time.
