Primary Class Party

This last week I was FINALLY able to host my last years primary class party that I promised my kids LAST December. My CTR 7 kids were awesome and each week earned gems towards a class pizza party with their good behavior. They also had to complete a final task where they each had to share their testimonies in Sacrament meeting. I was one proud teacher! However, after the new year I became very sick with the pregnancies sicky ickies, and then life just seemed to be on turbo warp speed between planning a mission reunion, HS reunion, and girls camp. Then summer hit and life got even more busy with reunions, vacations, and the like – so it took me FOREVER to get this party planned. Luckily my quickly approaching due date helped me get my arse in gear and get invitations OUT! And this last Tuesday was the day!
We started out by having pizza and bread sticks, fruit salad, and punch and then moved onto some games I had put together. Below are some pictures of our fun activities.
Harry eagerly trying to win the balloon popping contest (this was seriously SO funny because several of the kids – including Harry – just couldn’t get theirs to pop). I was laughing so hard.

Keep your balloon in the air the longest competition

Balloon sandwich where the kids had to keep a balloon between their backs without popping or losing it and run down around a tree and back.

sucker licking contest!

3 legged race!

Sponge feet game (wet sponge being passed to each other using feet only)

Lane was amazing at his passes! Look at that flexibility!

Nathan got creative and turned around to pass!

Then we did the over under sponge game where the kids had to fill up a bucket at the end of their line.

Next we were onto the “food contests.” Here the kids had to race to finish a giant marshmallow!

Next the kids had to find and eat 5 smarties in the bottom of bowl filled with whipped cream

The favorite though was probably the chocolate covered marshmallow drop. Drew and Adam were our brave catchers and had to try to catch marshmallows that were dropped from above into their mouths! The kids really loved this one and how messy it was!

Sure was a fun class party! Thanks for coming guys!
