Harry’s 4th Birthday!!!

This last Wednesday, we had a BIRF-DAY in the house! Our wonderful darling Harry-Bob turned the big FOUR years old. Wowsa’s!!! His request for his special day was to do a Spiderman theme, go to a park and have pizza, and then head over to Chuck E. Cheese!!!

Adam and I decorated the night before by putting out a Spiderman pinjata (with strict instructions from Harry that he was NOT to be broken later because he wanted to keep him), hanging a banner and crate paper, putting out lots of presents, and blowing up balloons.

The next morning Harrison had a ball opening up all his presents which included lots of books, a new slip n’ slide, a spiderman doll, spiderman 4 wheeler, new Thomas the Train shoes, a Toy Story II contraption, spongebob game, spiderman puzzle, and puppy pillow pet. Harry was in HEAVEN!

Harry also got his bike from last year fixed when Mommy found another trike just like his with a smashed wheel for $2 at a yard sale. Daddy was able to put the good tire from that bike onto Harry’s bike to fix his smashed tire (Mommy had run over Harry’s bike tire about 6 months earlier). Harry later said this was his favorite present! Daddy’s are AMAZING!

For breakfast Harry requested to have “Marshmallow Mateys and chocolate milk.” I had to laugh because this is pretty much what Harry wants for breakfast EVERY morning. Even after choices of cinnamon rolls, breakfast burritos, waffles, poptarts, pancakes, etc. Marshmallow Mateys was still the breakfast of choice. Silly boy!

After breakfast Harry only had ONE thing in mind. To go and try out his new Slip n’ Slide. Unfortunately it broke within 10 minutes – but the kids still had fun running the hose down the top and slipping down.

After slip n’ sliding Harry came in and he and I started making his cake together. Harry chose to do a double layered confetti cake with banana cream pudding in the middle and spiderman on the top. I made homemade buttercream frosting, turned it blue, and then we made a sweet red spiderweb on top before putting on all the fun toys. Harry absolutely LOVED it. 🙂

For dinner we headed over to Fat Jacks Pizza (our favorite local place) with Mum and Smurf and then went to Payson Park to eat and let the kids play awhile. Then we were off to Chuck E. Cheese. Poor Harry crashed on the way there all tuckered out from his fun day!

Nana and Papa came and met up with us at Chuck E. Cheese and there were SMILES all around by all three boys. Adam and I bought 140 tokens to start out with and the kids had them GONE-ZO within 2 hours! Dawson every time he ran out of coins would come back and say “more pennies please!” So cute. All three boys LOVED playing this time (Dawson was afraid of the rides last year) so this was a good thing. 🙂

Harrison said it was his best Birthday EVER!
We sure love you little guy. Thanks for being part of our family!
