Two Baby Showers and a Girls Day with Mom…

This last weekend I felt VERY VERY spoiled. All I can say is that I have the best friends, ward members, and family a girl could ask for. A few months ago one of my besties Missy (who is in our Jurashic Eggs group and one of the most AMAZING women I know) told me she wanted to throw me a baby shower for our little Sissy Pants. Then I had my dear friend Jana (who is our Young Womens Presidents and one of the most organized, on the ball, loving women I know) ask if anyone was giving me a shower. I told her my friend Missy was throwing me one – but when she found out it was going to be in Pleasant Grove – she insisted we have a ward one here in Payson as well! Wow! Wow! Wow!

Both showers were this last weekend and both were so amazing and awesome and I just left feeling so grateful for so many. This little girl is all set and I truly am so blessed to be surrounded by so many wonderful and generous people who already love this little girl and can’t wait for her to join our family.

Jana and my awesome visiting teaching companion Cyndi threw the shower here in Payson for me at Cyndi’s house Friday night and they did a beautiful job. Jana made these darling little fabric balls to decorate the shower with (in the colors of our nursery) and then gave them to me at the end. She and Cyndi and my visiting teacher Michelle Cox also spent all day baking yummy goodies for the refreshments which turned out AMAZING. I wish I’d thought to take out my camera during the shower. It truly was so beautifully done and I loved the colors. Thank you, thank you Jana, Cyndi, Michelle, and all those who came. I am truly so blessed to have you all in my life!

The next day was the shower Missy had graciously put together for me – and she ended up combining forces with our other sweet friend Triston who thought it would be fun to do a double baby shower for another one of my wonderful friends Jessica Woodward who was also having a little girl at the end of July. It was so fun. Missy made yummy chicken salad sandwiches on croissants, as well as an awesome berry salad, and some super yummy cookies, and then Triston brought stuff for fruit pizza and made darling little puff balls to decorate with. Then my Mom also brought some potato salad and a veggie platter, and I brought some other goodies – so we were all set! It was so nice to see so many old friends and even my wonderful sister-in-law Marcie came down all the way from Salt Lake to support me. I truly felt so loved.

After the shower my Mom asked if she could have a girls day with me and luckily Adam was kind enough to watch the boys a bit longer for me me (since he was leaving for Alaska for 7 days and knew I’d love a little downtime before the chaos hit) and so my Mom and I were able to spend the whole afternoon shopping (Ross, Kohls, and Roberts), watching movies (Harry Potter), and eating out (Five Guys Burgers). It was an absolutely heavenly day and I LOVED just being able to spend the whole day just with my Mommy! Thank you to so many who made my weekend so very special and wonderful. I love you all and am so grateful to have you in my life. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!
