Egbert Reunion at the Schofield Cabin

On Fathers Day Adam and I and the kids were able to go up to Mum and Smurfs for a double celebration. Not only did we get to honor my wonderful father-in-law Smurf, but we also got to participate in the blessing of our newest nephew Logan! It was sure fun to spend the afternoon with family. And Mumsie whipped up an amazing ham and turkey meal with all the fixins.

The next day we all headed up to the Schofield cabin where we were able to enjoy 3 days of family togetherness. The big boys (Egbert Brothers and older Nephews) all had a boys game night until 5:30 in the morning Saturday night. Then went and played basketball Monday morning at 6:00 am, and then up at the cabin they went Motorcycling (where Adam accidentally biffed it and got some serious road rash), took 30 mile bike rides, went on some fun boat rides, played lots of tennis, soccer, and basketball, hit golf balls into the lake, and did lots of other various activities like four wheeling, and playing card games. It was sure a lot of fun.

For the kids Mum and Smurf had a variety of activities from button bracelet making, to a kids treasure hunt, to some fun outdoor minute to win it games. We also did our traditional exchange of sister-in-law birthday gifts where we scored quite the fun variety of presents!

Sure was a wonderful reunion with good food, lots of socializing, and playing with cousins! Thanks Mum and Smurf for all your hard work! 🙂 We love you!

To end the reunion with a bang Adam came home and then was able to go golfing with his brother Chris and nephew Alex. He sure loved getting to spend so much time with his brothers!
