Easter Fun

This year we ended up doing Easter about a week early since Adam and I were going to be gone over the real Easter holiday. So for FHE one night we had a lesson on why we celebrate Easter and talked about the resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ and what it means in our lives.

We had actually written a letter to the Easter bunny several days beforehand to see if he would also be willing to bring our Easter baskets a little early so for our FHE activity we discovered that he had indeed come and hidden the kids baskets around the house. Branson found his basket in the laundry room deep inside the dryer! Harry’s happened to be hanging on a hanger in the mudroom, and Dawsons was in Mommy and Daddy’s shower.

Afterwards the kids had fun finding Easter eggs filled with candy that the Easter bunny had hid upstairs. Below are some pictures of their goods!

To end the evening we got out our Easter Egg dying kit and had fun being creative! Here Harry is showing off his blue egg which just so happens to be his favorite color!

Daddy made his traditional “Egg Burt” from Sesame Street.

Dawson got in on the egg dying action too but wouldn’t sit still long enough to take a picture! aka: Why Daddy is holding him!

This was the Egg the kids and I made for baby sister. All Pink! Ah cute!

Sure love these sweet faces!

Sure was a wonderful night spent doing fabulous traditions as a family! How grateful we are for our Savior and for his life, death, and resurrection in our behalf. What a great blessing in our lives! Sure hope you all had a wonderful Easter too!
