Seattle Children’s Museum

Christmas morning Adam and I packed up the kids into the car at 5:00 am and started the long 13 hour drive to Seattle to spend the holidays with Cam and Erin (my brother and sister-in law who we adore). We arrived at about 5:30 pm Seattle time (6:30 pm Utah time) and they had a lovely meal of homemade chicken noodle soup waiting for us. We all crowded into their 3 bedroom house and spent a week playing games (Mario Cart, and a board came called Pandemic which was super fun) and then did some fun activities during the days. Our first big activity was taking the kids to the Seattle Childrens museum. The boys all loved it and had a blast discovering, building, painting, molding, drumming, and running from activity to activity. Below are some pictures from our fun day.

They had this awesome Christmas village on display while we were there. Each of the houses in the background was done with such detail. They even had little people all over carrying wood into their homes, shoveling snow, etc. It was such a cute village! Here Erin is with all 5 boys!

Adam and Cam – so tough!

I loved all their life sized decorations all over. This snow globe was awesome!

Giant Christmas tree! We had a quick lunch of Clam chowder in breadbowls and ceasar salad and then headed downstairs to the museum.

Lots of tunnels for the kids to play in – love the looks on all the boys faces!

And these two trying to act all serious-like! 🙂

The boys and Adam playing in Cliffords dog dish with the bones!

Dawson and Harry Going shopping!

This kids basket looks strangely similar to mine when I’m done – overflowing!

Branson loved the “building room” where he and the Dad’s got to make stuff.

Harry preferred pretending he was serving me food through this drive through window!

Not sure what this contraction ended up being – but it was sure BIG when it was finished.

Harry and Dawson playing on the fire truck!

One of the favorite rooms in the museum was the activity center where the boys all got to get their craft on. They painted pictures…

Colored with markers…

And made things out of clay.

They also had some African drummers come in and show the kids how to play the drums. It was fun to listen to the music.

The boys all got a turn to drum as well.

Brothers

They had a kind of Asian room as well with lots of different houses and food the kids could play with from Asian countries. Harry loved the Asian bike with the big windshield in front!

They also had kind of a nature room where the kids could play in logs and caves and play in a tent or slide down hills.

We sure had a great time!

  1. Erin says:

Cam and I had no idea you snapped that pic. We look kind of ticked in our natural state:). We'll have to work on that I guess.
We really have some cute boys don't we? All of them! I love the pic you got of Cole painting. Too cute!
