This last Friday my wonderful amazing husband was kind enough to work from home so that I could go and have a girls day out with some of my friends and then later my Mom! Its not often I get to get out without the kids so when I do I really try to soak it up! I started out the afternoon by meeting up with two of my High School friends Erica Swenson and Heather Knutzen at the new In-N-out Burger in American Fork. It had been years since I’d last been there so it was fun going and trying it out again.
From there Erica and Heather and I headed over to Kohls to do some shopping. They were having a big clearance sale with lots of items 80% off, and then Heather and I both had 30% off coupons on top of that. So we really scored some great deals. I ended up with 4 new pairs of capri pants for $4.34 each, and 3 shirts for $1.82 each. Nice! Then I also got a new purse, wallet, and some jewelry! I so love bargain shopping!
Erica and Heather and I headed our different ways after shopping, but I had made plans with my Mommy so I stayed nearby. I had a little time to kill before meeting up with my Mom though so I just headed over to Ross where I got a new clock for our living room wall. Afterwords I met up with my Mom where we were both able to get our first PEDICURES ever! We went to a place called Nails and Spa in American Fork and it was AWESOME! The lasted about 45 minutes long and it was just pure heaven to be pampered like that and I loved the way my feet and legs felt and looked at the end. It was so fun!
After that we went and got our cars washed and detailed which for me is really a treat! I love having a clean car and it was great to get all the spilled juice and crumbs and gooey yuckies taken care of. So nice! We then headed over to one of my favorite restaurants “Texas Roadhouse” for dinner where we split a BBQ chicken and Steak platter with a salad and loaded sweet and baked potato! Ummm good. Mom got picked up on twice too while we were there by some guy at the bar! Totally made me laugh but she is a hotty! đ
From there we headed back up to Alpine where I had the wedding reception of one of my other best friends from the Mahogony singles ward (I have a lot of amazing friends from that ward, can you tell?) It was so fun to see Katie with her new man Eks and to see her so happy! I also got to meet up with my friends Triston and Jon, and Jessica and Julie while I was there as well.
