This last weekend I was absolutely ECSTATIC to get a phone call from my very favorite mission companion and best friend Shantel Gonda (whom I served with on my mission for 8 months and lived with post mission at BYU for a semester before marrying Adam). I completely ADORE This wonderful lady! She is a treasure and a gift in my life and is just one of those people that makes me want to be better. I love love love her to pieces! So when she said she was in town for the weekend for a family reunion, you can imagine my JOY!
I was somehow able to convince her to come and spend the night with us even amongst her already super full schedule, and we just had an absolute ball catching up and reminiscing about days gone by. It was also so nice to be able to get to know Shantels amazing family better and meet her two darling kids Maddy and Amelia! So So So CUTE!
Shantel and I ended up staying up WAY too late giggling like school girls and laughing hysterically as we remembered so many fun and precious moments from our mission. What a cherished and blessed time of life that was for us.
The next morning we woke up and my wonderful darling hot amazing husband made us all a yummy breakfast of crepes and bacon and then Shantel and Ryan needed to head off to meet Shan’s sister for church. We luckily remembered to take a few pictures before they took off that morning.
