On Saturday I was able to attend the bridal shower of one of my last single friends from my old Mount Mahogony singles ward. Katie and I lived just a few blocks from each other in Alpine after my mission and have remained good friends throughout the years. I just adore this girl. And I am so thrilled she has found her better half and will be joining the married ranks! Congrats Katie!
We started off the shower by gorging ourselves on amazing food and then each of us in attendance got to write some marriage advice for Katie. Then Katie read all the advice out loud for us all to hear. It was fun to hear some of the wisdom passed down, much of which made us giggle and came with some entertaining stories.
Many friends from the Mount Mahogony days were also in attendance.

One of the highlights of the day for me was reuniting with my Cami! She and I have been friends since high school and wrote emails in college to each other and then wrote on my mission as well. Cami is also responsible for introducing me to rock climbing which we used to go and do once a week back in our college days! It had been almost 8 years since we last saw each other and boy was it a sweet reunion. Cami is also engaged to a wonderful man named Andrew and will be getting married soon! I’m so happy for her!
