Scottish Festival

This last weekend Payson City held its annual Scottish Festival at the Payson Park. Adam and I really enjoy going to these fun festivals that Payson City puts on and decided to make that our date night activity this week. It was so fun!

We started out with a traditional dinner of corn beef and cabbage and then also got some funnel cake with strawberries and whipped cream and then this awesome bottle of Bison Brew Root Beer! Here I am a little tipsy from all the brew! 🙂

Afterwords we went and watched some of the free live entertainment. They had these guys who played a fiddle/harp melody that was really awesome. They were very talented and played some really great Scottish jigs. Then after them, they had an Scottish dance company come and perform lots of traditional Scottish Dances. I loved the costumes and the music!

Then on Saturday we decided to go back to watch some more of the festivities. Mumsie and Smurf joined us in the afternoon to go and see the athletics events like the log toss!

And Earlier that morning we also got to catch the tail end of the Scottish Festival Parade!

We were 9 minutes late and by the time we got to our “normal” parade spot, the parade was over, (Must have been SUPER short) but Adam figured out where it ended and we think we actually got to see most of it…from our car.

It was sure a fun festival and we can’t wait until next years!
