This last weekend we were able to celebrate the 4th of July with the Egbert side at the Schofield Cabin for our family reunion. Cam and Erin were in charge this year and did a fantastic job! They bought all the food and then cooked most of it as well all weekend so the rest of the family could relax and enjoy. Amazing eh? Especially considering there were probably around 40 people up there! Then they decided just to give everyone “free time” do do as they pleased! It was really fun. Some went 4-wheeling, others went boating, some went biking and biked 30 miles, we played basketball, tennis, xbox, did a puzzle, played board games, and had a wonderful time catching up! It was seriously so much fun and we had such a great time with everyone. Be prepared for a slew of pictures from the weekend!

Dean, Marcie, Danny, and Ryan all decided to go on a bike ride. They all have competed in races and are becoming quite good in their competitions!

One of the highlights of the weekend for our little family was taking a little boating trip out on Schofield Lake with Cam and Erin! The water was entirely too cold for my blood (I’m not a fish), but Cam, Erin, and Adam dared the frigid temperatures and entertained us with some awesome wake boarding!

Unfortunately Adam spent most of the time in the water like this. That or submarining behind the boat. Even with all of us and the ice chest up front, the boat just didn’t seem to have the power to get Ad out of the water. He was a good sport about it.

Cam hit the water next, and was absolutely AMAZING to watch as he is quite the pro at wake boarding. He was doing 360’s, jumping both wakes, and doing flips all over the place! Unfortunately I didn’t get any still pictures of his tricks, but I did get them on film!

We went back to the cabin later, and after some naps we all went down to the park to let the kids play on the playground, while the adults either played basketball or tennis. Super fun!

Later Cam broke out his tight rope and we all took turns trying to balance ourselves and walk across it. Robbie and Cam took the cake on that one! They were awesome!
That night the boys stayed up until 3:30 playing games, while others sat around the fire roasting marshmallows, and others played games or did puzzles. Adam brought up his xbox and the kids LOVED playing one of the games we brought called “Your in the Movies” and spent hours doing that all weekend as well.
On Sunday we all went to church down at the Schofield branch whose average attendance each week is between 30-40 people. That Sunday, however, they had over 400! They were so accommodating and all the meetings were wonderful. Afterwords we had ham and cheesy potatoes for dinner and then Mumsie brought out some family heirlooms she wanted to pass on to her kids, and then we did the sister-in-law gift exchange! So fun. The rest of the day was spent working on puzzles, reading, talking, or playing games.
Sure was a wonderful weekend spent with some of the best people we know! Happy 4th of July everyone!
You've got some serious action shots! Looks like so much fun!
It was fun to look at these photos and have memories of being there with you, Adam and your cute boys!
