This morning when I went out to water our garden boxes and flower beds (we are hopefully getting our sprinkler system in later this week) I came to find our water hose sprayer laying broken on our lawn. It had been having some issues anyway and apparently finally gave up the ghost last night when Branson was watering for me. So off to Wal-Mart the kids and I went to find another sprayer. While we were there I couldn’t help but check out some other cool water toys for the kids.
As I walked down the kids isle I was instantly overcome with so many fond memories of summers spent in Lehi as a kid going down the hill in our front yard on our slip n’ slide. We had the very best hill in the neighborhood and always had so much fun running and slipping all the way down. We luckily also have some pretty good hills in our yard here in Payson and so I figured it would be a fun thing for the kids and I to do this summer on scorching hot days (like today).
We brought the slip n’ slide home and immediately got it set up on our lawn (although I think next time I’m going to use our REALLY steep hill on the other side of the house as the kids didn’t quite get the run and slide part of slipping!) The boys had a BLAST! And even if it only lasts one day, it was well worth the $9.00 I spent on it! Check out the boys faces! Pure summer bliss!

I know I only got half of Harry in this pic, but I just love the look of pure happiness on his face!
