Coronado Beach and Pier

After Adam got done working on Thursday we all decided to take a trip to Coronado beach which was rated as one of the top 10 beaches in America. It was Dawsons first trip to the beach, but you would have thought it was Harrison and Branson’s as well by the way they all reacted! 🙂 They were so excited to go! Unfortunately though the boys didn’t really seem to care for the water too much (probably too cold) but they did LOVE the sand!

Branson would only go in the water if Adam or I went with him, and still he didn’t want to go past his knees!

Harry didn’t care for the water AT ALL.
He took a few steps into it and went right back to the beach!

This was about as far as Branson dared go!

Dawson preferred being above the water instead of in it!

It even took him awhile to warm up to the idea of sitting in the sand.
He wouldn’t let us set him down for a good 30 minutes!

Branson loved getting buried!

But didn’t like when Harry wanted to help and started getting sand in his eyes!

Dawson unfortunately didn’t get how to play in sand and kept wiping it into his eyes which required us taking him to the showers to get all the sand off his face and out of his eyes.

In the meantime Harrison and Branson and I started building our sand villiage

And I may or may not have written cute messages in the sand

Ah back from the showers…all is well

Here is our sand village after we were done.
The big mound is our castle, and then there are little round sand houses along the river.
We loved it when the tide came up and put water in our river.

After about an hour or two though little Dawson had had it with the beach and we decided to head into town for a late dinner.

We went to a little village like place by the pier. They had it decorated beautifully with little pond and waterfalls all over.

We went to a little dive called “Little Piggy’s” and got us some BBQ for dinner. BBQ Ribs, chicken, and shrimp with a salad, and corn bread. ummm good!
