Mahogony Girls Slumber Party!

Before I got married to Adam I belonged to the best ward in the entire world! The Mount Mahogony Singles ward. It was in this ward that I made some of the best friends I have ever had. Guys and girls who I looked up to immensely, who inspired me, lifted me, and made me want to be a better person. Ever since being in that ward I have tried to put together yearly reunions because I just can’t stand to go more than a year without seeing all these great people.

So in February I organized and hosted a “Girls Only” Mount Mahogony Slumber party at my house the weekend after my birthday. It was AWESOME to be with these wonderful women again and I found myself laughing and giggling all night at our conversations and girly energy. It seriously was so much fun.

We started out the night with everyone pitching in and bringing something to make homemade mock Cafe Rio Salads with ALL the fixins. Sweet pork, sweet rice, beans, Guacamole, corn, hot tortillas, and tomatillo dressing. They were wonderful!

Then we headed upstairs to play a little “me ball” and loaded questions so we could all get to know each other a little better.

Kimber, Missy, & Liesl

Jessica and Trissy!

All us Girls! Back row: Kimber, Jessica, Missy, Liesl
Front Row: Nichole, Cheyenne, Triston, me, & Katie

Say Cheese!

Funny Faces!

Act Normal (notice Kimber is sleeping!)

Maybe these are our scary faces? 🙂

I so love these girls!

Next we got a little crazy with the cheese wiz and entered the dress-up closet. We dressed up each other in the most unusual costumes we could find and then did homemade glamor shots! It was at this point in the night that my cheeks started hurting from laughing so hard. Everyone did a great job getting into costume. Literally! 🙂

Can you tell who is who?

We had so much fun thinking up different poses!

Work it girls!

Aren’t these ladies great?

Never a Dull moment when we are together!

It was great to let our hair down a little…

Liesl was a really good palm reader. Kimber wasn’t sure what to think about her fortune of having 13 kids…all boys!

Next we each got our turn in front of the camera for America’s Next Top Model.
Here is Cheyenne the Pirate Devil Wench.

Smokin Hot!

Next we have Granny May. Don’t mess with her. She’ll tell your Mother on you!

But she’s hip rappin Gram too!

Next we have The Sea Witch meets Rainbow Bright!

She got the nursery ryme a little backwards though and thought she had to kiss her pony instead of a frog to find her handsome prince.

Weezy the Chinese Fortune Teller

She rikes flied lice! 🙂

Captain Katie didn’t care for her too much!

She’ll stick ‘er hook in ya, she will!

Miss Waldo herself!

All dressed up for the ball!

Cowbgril Bridezilla

The peacemaker in the bunch. She liked to crack jokes!

I don’t think this girl even has a name.

She should just be admitted to the mental hospital I think.
Doesn’t she know that feathers and brack bra’s are so last season?

Hippy Elmo. Sold in Stores in 1972

Happy Drugs not included

We decided to call it a night at about 2:00 am. But some of us stayed up until nearly 3:00!

It was a slumber party in every sense of the word

See, Kimber took it literally!

The next day we got up and had a wonderful breakfast casserole Triston made, and then spent the morning gabbing away. Some of our group had to leave that afternoon (sadly) but those of us remaining kept up the fun. We watched a girly movie, then went to Papa Kelsey’s for soup salads and subs and then went shopping at Segull Book.

It Truly was an amazing weekend! Thank you girls for making it so special.
You are all just a joy to be around and I love your guts, faces, and toenails too!
