On Wednesday this last week I was able to spend the afternoon with friends that I haven’t seen in at least 10 years! And not just good friends, but friends from High School who have played a vital role in who I am today. Wonderful women who meant so much to me in my formative years and helped me become who I am. Women who stood by me through my first boyfriends, my first heart breaks, and first kisses. Women who I would run down the hall screaming “Psycho Women” to as we did a dance and jumped into each others arms. Women who would stick limbs out of cars while driving, write funny saga love stories for me, wear bandaids on their heads, who make up clubs like CLA (Cute Lips Anonymous), who danced with mirrors with me, and just let me act crazy anytime I wanted to. I love these girls and after a decade of not seeing them, it was pure Heaven to be reunited!
All of us have moved away from each other since High School, but during this Thanksgiving Holiday we were all able to be in the same State and valley for the first time in years. It was truly a wonderful moment to see and hug each of them and to reconnect after such a long time.
We met at Burger Supreme in Provo (Thanks for the recommendation Scott) where we were able to meet each others significant others and children for the first time. It was so fun learning about how each of us had met our spouses, and talk about raising our children. The time passed entirely too quickly for me and before I knew it, it was time to part once again! I couldn’t let the moment pass though without a few pictures to capture the joy I felt being with my girls again! Thanks so much for making the time to get together Korby and Ryane! I love you both so much!
