The “House Projects” To Do List

I’m not sure what has gotten into Adam and I lately but we have been going crazy checking things off our “house projects to do list.” As with any home that is purchased you always have elaborate plans of things you want to change and do, but it seems like the money or motivation never seem to last very long. However, this week Adam and I have been on fire with getting things done that we have needed to do. So far this week we have:

1) Bought 4 Fruit Trees (Apricot, Plum, Apple, & Pear) and 2 decorative Evergreen trees and planted them.
2) Cleaned out the garage, taking everything we won’t be using this winter to the basement, and sweeping it out.
3) Planted 10 potted flowers and 50 tulip bulbs
4) Built a raised flower garden in our front yard with some of the big rocks from our yard
5) Put our summer glider swing away in the basement.
6) Organized our basement, moving everything into one room so that we can build an office for Adam and have a play place for the kids during the winter (we plan to bring their new swing set and bikes into the basement where they can play on them all winter long… thank goodness for super high ceilings!)
7) Laid carpeting in the basement where the kids will play
8) Cut out and organized about a bazillion coupons that I have been neglecting from our Daily Herald newspaper
9) We have also been researching curbing, vinyl fences, and other yard goodies that we want to eventually put in!

In addition to the yard work and house projects we also did 4-5 loads of laundry, cleaned all our tile floors and 3 bathrooms and made a big early Thanksgiving dinner where we had my parents and my nieces and nephews over for dinner, Indexed over 2000 names, Found about 10 new people by doing family history work, and Adam cleaned out his office!! Sure is fun getting so much done! Here’s to hoping this week is just as productive! 🙂
