The last few weekends Adam and I have been able to take the kids on some beautiful drives in the canyon. A few weekends ago Smurf (my father in law) needed some help putting up a sign at the Egbert family cabin in Schofield so we went up one Saturday to help him. We were in absolute awe as we drove through Spanish Fork canyon looking at the leaves. Unfortunately we left my good camera home, but I was sick about not having any pictures so Adam took a few with his Blackberry phone. Although some of them look more like paintings than pictures, they still show a bit of the beauty that we saw while driving.

Then the last Sunday in September we were also able to take a family drive up Payson Canyon. In all our previous trips we have only been able to drive as far as Maple Lake but this time the roads were all open and we were able to go to the very top of the mountain pass. It was absolutely GORGEOUS up there with all the Quaking Aspen trees in full color. I was in Heaven.
We were even able to go and check out the famous Payson Lakes that we’ve heard so much about. Very beautiful indeed.

On our way back down the mountain we tried to stop for some family pictures, but unfortunately we again forgot our good camera and ended up having to take pictures with the cell phone. The Pictures all turned out pretty blurry, but I still wanted to post a few since the people in them are some of my very favorite! đ
I do miss the fall colors. Arizona is really lacking in that department. You look amazing!
